Mangalore: BJP President Nitin Gadkari’s statement comparing Swami Vivekananda to Dawood Ibrahim has come under severe criticism with political parties and organizations staging protests. On November 6, Tuesday, the Mangalore Assembly constituency of the Youth Congress organized a protest in Mangalore against Gadkari’s statement and demanded that Gadkari be extradited from the nation for his remarks.

MLA UT Khader who addressed the agitators, said  Gadkari has proved that he too was a traitor by comparing a great soul like Vivekananda to an underworld don like Dawood Ibrahim.

Sadashiva Ullal, Congress leader, Mamatha Gatty, President of District Mahila Congress,  Dinesh Rai, Councilor, Siraj Kinya, President, Mangalore Youth Congress and others were present.
