Mangalore : The District Youth Congress organised a vehicle rally from the Urva Grounds to Kannur on January 15 to protest against the misrule of the BJP government and to urge it to step down from power. Senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari and District Congress President Ramanatha Rai inaugurated the rally which passed through Ladyhill grounds Jyothi, Balmatta, Nagori and Alape.

Speaking on the occasion, Poojari appreciated the efforts put in by the youth Congress in organizing the rally aimed at enlightening the society on the misrule of the BJP government which viewed everything from the communal angle.

At Navabharath Circle the rally was flagged off by Oscar Fernandes, Rajya Sabha Member. In his address, he exhorted the youth to engage in nation building works.

Several Congress leaders including Mithun Rai, Youth Congress President, Praveen Chandra Alva, Ashraf, Shashidhar Hegde, Ivan D’Souza, Kripa Alva, Moidin Bava took part in the rally
