Badiyadka: A youth died by drowning in lake at Manya Devarakere on Sunday.

Shiyasi (21) of Yerial, Yedacheriya is the deceased person. Fire service personnel with the help of locals found the body.

Shiyas and his friends were playing football at the nearest ground. After playing football all of them went to take bath. Because of the mud which was accumulated at the bottom of the lake, Shiyas couldn’t come out of the water.

Immediately his friends contacted the fire service, but till the fire service personnel arrived, Shiyas was dead.

Post mortem of the body has been done. After informing his father who works in Gulf, he immediately started his journey from there.

Thus is the third death at the same lake in this year. Every year many youths have lost their life here. There are no sign boards of depth and width of the lake, which might be the reason behind these deaths.

Local people are urging the concerned authorities to take precautionary measures for this.
