Bantwal : Mohammad Irshad (23) son of Abdul Hameed from Nandavar near Panemangalore  died in a road accident at Saudi Arabia here he worked.

He worked as a driver for a transport company but had been missing since August 5 ever since he left for duty in his goods carrier. The efforts of the family to  trace him proved futile as the transport company was closed due to Ramzan. After it resumed operations, the family contacted the company when it came to light that the vehicle had met with an accident with another vehicle. Both the drivers Irshad and another Syrian national died in the mishap.

Mohammad Irshad had been to the Gulf three years  ago and was working at Jeddah for a Saudi transport company since one and a half year.

He had planned to return home next month for his uncle’s wedding.
