Mangaluru : The 35-year-old man from Yekkur in Mangaluru, who staying at a relative’s house at Madhur Kolya found dead in a lake  near the Madhur bridge on August 25, Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Vinod, resident of Yekkuru.

It is said, he had reportedly drowned in a lake near Madhur bridge on Sunday, has been traced at Madhur after a day.

The incident had taken place on Sunday evening. After his work in a plantation at Madhur, Vinod had stepped into the lake near the Madhur bridge to have a bath when he reportedly drowned.

His bike which was found parked on the bridge was taken into custody by the police. Vinod who was unmarried used to stay at a relative’s house at Madhur Kolya. The body has been kept at the Kasargod General Hospital Mortuary and will be handed over to the relatives after a Covid test.
