Kundapur: As a result of head on collision between bike and pick-up, a youth breathed his last at Bijur near Byndoor on Tuesday.

Guru Poojary (32) of Yadtare, Byndoor is the deceased person. He was son of Annappa Poojary.

It is learnt that the biker was moving with full throttle on National Highway 66 and his bike collided with the pick-up when he was trying to overtake a bus which was moving in front of him.

Poojary had severe injuries to his head and he died on the spot. He was driver by profession.

The traffic was messed up due to the incident and Byndoor police cleared the traffic after their arrival.

A case has been registered at Byndoor traffic police station.
