Mangalore : Muneer Katipalla, state vice-president of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) urged newly elected chief minister Siddaramaiah to take necessary steps to take youths in the main stream and call youth organizations meeting immediately.
Addressing the reporters at the press meet held at Press Club on May 28, Tuesday, Muneer said that state government has always been biases to the youths. They have even misguided them with the false promises made during election.
Muneer said that any of the state’s ruling party has given importance to youth empowerment to eradicate the unemployment.
He also said that there a total of 1.70 lakh vacancies pending in various governmental departments. Hence Congress government must immediately fill the vacant post and eradicate the problem of unemployment.
The youths will hand over the memorandum to urging the government to fulfill the demands of youths in taluk and district level across the state on May 30, he said.
DYFI members Dayanand Shetty, B K Imthiyaz, Santhosh Bajal and Yogish Jappinamogaru were present.
