Udupi: “School students should improve their interest to listen ‘Hari Kathe’. We should contribute in the growth of Hari Kathe. I personally support it. I will try to seek the government’s attention to develop Hari Katha and to organise it in the schools and colleges,” said Udupi district In-Charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj.
He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of Hari Kathe week at Shree Krishna Math’s hall, on Sunday.
“Hari Katha attracts all aged people towards it. It is the mixed with literature, moral stories and comedy also. So, as the people go on listening to it, they will start to love it. But the present youth are not showing any interest towards it,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion Paryaya Shree Vishweshatheertha Swamy said that Vachan’s teach us about lord Shiva’s devotion and Daasara padha teaches us about Shree Hari.
“Both are like two eyes of Hinduism. I am glad to say that both of this has spread in all the four states of southern part of India,” he said.
Shree Vishwaprasannatheertha Swamy, Harikrishna Punaruru, Jaya Acharya, Pradeep Kumar kalkura and others were present.
