Mangalore : A large number of youths participated and enjoyed the water sports arranged at Jeppinamogaru as a part of 17th National Youth Festival (NYF).

The popular sports were the jet skis and the banana rides. The importance of wearing the life jackets to save their lives was also informed to the general public and participants on the occasion.

Programme coordinator Manjunath said that a large number of youths had shown interest in participating in the water sports.

He also said that over 600 people had already tried the water sports, and expected more number of people to participate in next two days. He said that kayaking might be launched in the evening.
