Kundapur: Yuva Meridian Convention Centre which has come up at the premises of Prafulla Enclave on Halady Road of Koteshwara, was inaugurated on November 23, Friday by D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala.

Speaking on the occasion, Heggade exhorted youngsters to make good use of the opportunities available to them and engage in nation building works. He also appreciated the initiative taken by Udaykumar Shetty and Vinaykumar Shetty in building this convention centre which is one of its kind and unique.

The mini auditorium was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister R Ashok and said  this is the first of its kind auditorium in the entire state.

Udupi Chikmagalur MP Jayaprakash Hegde, District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojari, Third Finance Commission Task Force Chairman AG Kodgi, MLAs K Lakshminarayana, Raghupathi Bhat,  Canara Bank Deputy General Manger M Dasayya, Dr. M Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor of Nitte University, Dr H Shantharam, Administrative Officer of Manipal Academy of General Education and others were present on the occasion.
