Mangaluru : Elections to the posts of president and vice-president of the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat will be held on April 28 at 1 p.m., as per the calendar of events announced by the Regional Commissioner, Mysuru. The commissioner will conduct the elections at the Netravati Auditorium of the panchayat. Nominations to the posts will be verified between 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on that day and the names will be read out.

A member who has submitted nominations may withdraw the same within 10 minutes of the verification.

The post of president is reserved for the Scheduled Castes and vice-president is reserved for the General category (Woman).
