City Prepares to celebrate 63rd Independence Day

Mangalore : Preparation for the 63rd Indian Independence Day celebration is under way at Mangalore. As part of Independence Day celebration the Nehru Maidan will be decorated with the tri colour bunting and flags.


Most of the shops in the city have displayed the national flags of various varieties like in plastic and satin cloth for Rs 5 to 15.  Various like badges to be pinned for the dress is available in the shape of flag, heart and round.


The people with selling the t-shirts with the print of Indian flag will also be found in city. While the tri-colour bangles, shawls, ribbons and wrist ban are too found in large number.
In the meantime, the district administration is preparing to hold a grand Independence Day celebration this year too. The district administration is arranging a citation gifts to the achieving students and workers for their good performance.


The students of various schools and police department  will organize march fast on the occasion.
