Items worth in lakhs stolen from beedi merchants house

Theft Bantwal: Items worth in lakhs were stolen from a house at Panemangaluru. The incident came to light on Sunday evening.

The incident took place at Ismail’s houde near Guddeyangady who is a beedi merchant.

As Ismail and his family had been to Thoudugoli to visit realatives home, miscreants have used the situation.

Thieves entered the house by breaking the roof tiles and got the almera keys which were kept under the bed by Ismail. Thieves have stolen jewellery worth 43 sovereigns and Rs 40000 cash.

Bantwal town police arrived at the spot and examined the situation. Cannine squad and finger print experts were also on the spot.

DySP Raveesh, Circle inspector Manjayya also arrived at the spot.
