Mangaluru : Police have arrested six men  in connection with an immoral policing incident in Suratkal on November 15, Monday.

The arrested are  Prathish, Bharath, Prahlad, Prashanth, Guruprasad and Sukhesh. City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar also visited Suratkal.

The accused had assaulted a youth  for the sole reason that a young woman who was pillion riding with him belonged to another community. It has been gathered that the  young woman was shifting to another accommodation and her luggage had to be shifted.

It is learnt the accused after assaulting the young man also warned the woman. The aggrieved young man had then lodged a complaint to the Suratkal police and within minutes the accused were arrested.
