Mangalore : District in-charge Minister Krishna J Palemar in a  peace committee meeting held at DC Office on September 22, Wednesday, said that the prohibitory orders will be imposed under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code would be declared in Dakshina Kannada from the midnight of Thursday to the midnight of September 26.
He also said that, there will be no restriction on the Jum’ah prayers on 24th Friday.
Palemar said that all reactions of the people must be within the boundaries of civility and the Constitution.
Seemanth Kumar Singh, Police Commissioner said that the police would make every efforts to maintain peace in the society. The person circulating provocative messages will be traced using technology and arrested.
The district Police Department would send SMSs to maintain peace and restraint to all mobile users in the district, he urged the people to contact the nearest police station before believing any rumour, he added.
