Mangaluru: “‘Krishna Gaana Vabhava’ will be the new event which will be included in 33rd Shree Krishna fancy dress competition, which will be held on August 24,” said Kalkura Foundation President and KASAPA district President Pradeep Kumar Kalkura.
Adressing a press conference Kalkura said that including the new event, this year totally 27 events will be there. It is a tradition of Kalkura Foundation. The events will be held at Kadri Manjunatheshwara temple.
“Folk songs, devotional songs, classical songs which are related to Krishna will be sung in Gaana Vaibhava event. It will be held in five categories,” he said.
He further said that this year the events will be started from morning 9.30 itself. Quiz on Shree Krishna, ‘Kandha Krishna’, ‘Bala Krishna’, ‘Vasudeva Krishna’ and other events will be completed by afternoon.
“Last year nearly 2000 children participated in the event. This year we are expecting 3000 children. All the arrangements will be done prior to the event day,” he said, requesting the people of all faith to participate in the event without considering the religion.
