Mangalore : A former director general of police of Karnataka has come down heavily on the report submitted by the State Women’s Commission to the Karnataka Government on the recent Morning Mist Attack.
Interacting with students at a programme on ‘Moral policing-a Blot on Indian Democracy’ at St Aloysius College on Friday, FTR Colaco, former DGP of Karnataka described the report as biased and prejudiced and also said that the Commission Chairperson was under the full control of her political bosses. The programme was organised in association with the Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK)
Continuing, he said the report should be rejected and the Manjula be replaced by an efficient chairperson who can do full justice to her role. He also questioned whether the Women’s Commission Chairperson was interested in the welfare or women or the state government. He also out rightly blamed the ruling party in the state for the attack.
Fr Swebert D’Silva, Principal of St Aloysius College, also spoke on the occasion. A resolution condemning the homestay attack, was passed on the occasion.
