Udupi : Nine year old Kiran Rahul Fernandes, son of Wilma and Terry Fernandes, a taxi driver at Thottam is  today helpless with one leg amputated. On August 5, Kiran  had fallen from a tree and had fainted with serious head injuries. He was taken to the hospital where on seeing his swollen legs and deteriorating condition, doctors  decided to  amputate his legs considering that it was due to poison.

Kiran’s parents have spent a hefty sum on his treatment and  now have to spend much  more, He also needs an  artificial leg to get a fresh lease of life. The family is there expecting help from donors.
