Udupi : A programme ‘Atidonji Dina Ponjove Kooto’ was held at the Mahila Grahakara Sangha Auditorium here on July 20 under the joint aegis of the Taluk Mahila Mandaligala Okkoota, Mahila Grahaka Vividoddhesha Sahakari Sangha and Tulu Siri Chavadi.
Dr Niketana, Convenor of the Kannada post-graduate study centre of Tenkanidiyoor Government First Grade College, said man should lead a self-respected life with confidence. One should not forget traditions in this fast life and should try to know their significance.
She also delved on the various Aati related traditions in Tulunad. A variety of Aati delicacies including Turmeric leaf Gatti, Patrode, Mentheganji, Huruli Chatney, Jackfruit seed vada etc were served to the gathering.
Sheela KJ Shetty, President of the Mahila Mandaligala Okkoota, Harini Damodar, Director of the Women’s Vividoddesha Sahakari Sangha, Sarala Kanchan and others were present.
