Bangalore : Karnataka governor HR Bhardwaj was attacked by Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah today terming his offer to the BJP government to prove majority again in the House as unparallel and unconstitutional.
In the history of India, the governor giving second opportunity to seek vote of confidence has never happened. There can’t be such an opportunity under such Constitution.
He also said that, he does not know for what reason the Governor made the offer and he might be under pressure.
He said the BJP government had failed to prove its majority during Monday’s floor test and in the normal course president’s rule should have followed, which was recommend ed to by the governor.
Speaker KG Bopaiah, during the vote of confidence did not go in for head count, division of votes and no body knows how many supported the government and how many were against it. Likewise finally, the government won the trust vote, he asked.
