Mangalore : After resignation of Janata Dal (Secular) district president, M.B. Sadashiva, Mohammed Kunhi has been appointed the president of JD(S) Dakshina Kannada district committee.
M.B. Sadashiva claimed the decision was due to “personal reasons” and not because of differences or pressure by factions. He continues to be a member of JD(S).
As per Deve Gowda’s order, M.S. Narayana Rao, interim president of JD(S), sent a written order of appointment.
B Mohammed Kunhi has served as the chief secretary of Karnataka JD(S). He was also a member of state Wakf Council and JD(S) DK district working president. He is presently a member of Karnataka parliamentary board.
