Mangalore : Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah alleged that Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa was involved in land scams through denotification of lands, hence till the Lokayukta complete its probe, CM has no moral right to continue in office as the CM.
He was speaking at the press meet, held at District Congress office on November 26, Friday, he also said that, CM has to resign from the post in order to conduct fair investigation.
Siddaramaiah said that by deciding for the Lokayukta probe, CM has agreed his involvement in the land scam. None of the chief minister in the past even, in the BJP government was involved in such and scam.
Though he has agreed his mistake the high command has not taken any action against him. Land scam is his favouritism.
He also said that, he condemned another enquiry, which is against the enquiry commission act. He is fooling the people of Karnataka. It is a double standard government and it has created a huge loss, to the state.
He also alleged that the state government was playing dirty tricks. The government must implemented ordinance for the reservation of the minorities and Dalits, there are 109 seats for Zilla Panchayath and 482 seats for Taluk panchayath.
He also said that, there was a census for the caste in the year 1931 and it was the last caste census, but again, this will be there in 2011. The government should have been done this before, but not done, since CM is scared to give more benefits to the minorities.
When he was a finance minister, he has given the amount of Rs 2 crore and sanctioned Rs 21 crore for the development of the backward class.
