Udupi: “Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah doesn’t listen to anyone and Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalaitha is inflexible person. Here, there is no point asking PM Narendra Modi to intervene in the Cauvery river dispute. The case is in tribunal,” said Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda.
Speaking to the reporters on Sunday during his visit to Kadiyali Ganeshotsava in Udupi he said that, court only says that there should not be any problems regarding drinking water. But injustice has been done with Karnataka state and people of this state.
“The government has failed to manage the Cauvery dispute and it has also failed to manage the Tamil Nadu’s application in a proper way. Experts should visit the KRS dam and based on expert’s reports, decision should be taken whether to release water or not,” he said.
He further said that the interests of Karnataka people will be upheld by Fali Nariman. He is one of the best lawyers in the country.
Later commenting on state BJP leadership dispute he said he will not say that there is no difference of opinion between BSY and KSE, but it can be solved, as it is a minor issue.
“The matter will be discussed inside the party only. BJP national general secretary will join state BJP soon and he will clear the issue,” he added.
