Udupi: Four people were injured after a mini bus overturned on a car near MGM College, on Saturday.

The bus was plying from Shivamogga to Manipal. Bus driver suddenly applied break to avoid a scooter, which was passing across the road without giving any signal. Due to the sudden application of break, bus skidded over the road toppled on a Renault car, parked beside the road.

Bus driver has been seriously injured in the accident, whereas three passengers from the bus have sustained with minor injuries. Injured people are admitted in Manipal hospital.

Moreover, bus stopped few feet behind from a electric pole, otherwise it would have been counted as a major mishap.

The 108 ambulance service also arrived 20 minutes later and the local people didn’t waited till then.

Udupi traffic police have registered a case.
