Udupi: Hindu Jagarana Vedike leader Arvind Koteshwar and 14 others accused of murder of BJP activist Praveen Poojary were granted conditional bail by the Udupi district and sessions court on Friday December 9.
It may be recalled that Praveen Poojary, a resident of Kenjaru, was brutally murdered by a group of 25 men on August 17, 2016 when he was transporting calves in his vehicle. 22 suspects involved in the murder were arrested on the following day itself.
While the court has now granted conditional bail to 15 of the accused, the hearing of the bail petition of the remaining 7 suspects has been slated for Saturday, December 10.
