Mangaluru : Four new corona virus positive cases reported in Dakshina Kannada and 13 fresh corona virus positive cases were reported in Udupi on Saturday June 20,

In Dakshina Kannada two  travelled from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, one from Maharashtra, another one has contracted the infection from P-8005, an influenza-like illness 22-year-old patient, who tested positive on June 19.

As on June 20th the total number of coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada district reached 426 (including 10 cases from other districts), and 197 are currently active, 15 patients have been discharged from the hospital on Saturday.

In Udupi district 13 people including three children tested positive for coronavirus  on Saturday. The ten are Maharashtra returnees, one has travelled from Bengaluru, one has contracted infection from P-5451, and the source of infection of one more patient is being traced.

The total 102 cases currently active and nine patients have been discharged from hospital on Saturday.
