Mangaluru : A 70-year-old coronavirus positive patient with Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI) died on Tuesday in Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday, June 23,

The district recorded its ninth death due to novel coronavirus.

The victim, identified by number P-6282, had arrived to Mangaluru from Bengaluru on June 7. He had been admitted to the Covid 19 designated hospital in the district on June 12 was suffering from diabetes and pneumonia.

The patient reportedly died without responding to treatment.
