Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district recorded the biggest single-day spike 311 corona cases and eight deaths. Udupi district reported 84 new corona cases on Friday July 17.
Out of the total positive cases, 1,278 persons have been discharged after treatment including 115 discharges today. Presently 1,725 cases are active in the district.
A total of 26,242 have been tested so far and 23,168 of this were found to be negative. nd 71 deaths have occurred so far including eight on Friday. Twelve of the deceased out of the 71 are from other districts.As many as 115 patients were discharged on Friday from Wenlock as well as private hospitals.
Total eight death were reported on Friday are a 72-year-old female and two males aged 56 and 72 from Mangaluru, a 70-year-old male from Sirsi, 69-year-old male from Davanagere, 53-year-old male from Sullia, 68-year-old male from Bhatkal and a male aged 65 from Beltangady.

A total of 163 people are in isolation wards, including 32 fresh admissions on Friday. Among the new admissions, 15 are coronavirus suspects, 12 have SARI and five influenza-like illness. s many as 1,239 people have been discharged from isolation wards so far.
Kasaragod district reported 32 coronavirus cases on Friday and 24 of them infected from primary contacts.
