Mangaluru: The BJP unit in Dakshina Kannada is gearing up thoroughly for the forthcoming elections to the zilla panchayat, taluk panchayat and Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC), said party district president Sathish Kumpala.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, he expressed confidence in securing wins in both zilla panchayat and taluk panchayat polls, following their supported candidates’ successful outcomes in different cooperative society elections across the district. Kumpala noted that circumstances appear advantageous for the BJP.
As a part of the organisation of the party, various committees at the district and constituency levels will be constituted. The BJP is intensifying its efforts for electoral success. Party officials are conducting sessions to strategise for the upcoming polls.
Additionally, a Mahashakti Kendra conference is scheduled to take place. As a part of the preparations for the election to the MCC, a meeting of the senior leaders and representatives will be held within a week, Sathish said.
Meanwhile, he welcomed the Union Budget presented by the finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, stating that middle-class and poor families will benefit from it.
