Bangalore: Assistant Commissioner of Police for Traffic and safety, Dr. M. A. Saleem informed here that in the last 43 days, fines to the extent of Rs.1.40 crores were collected in 69,661 cases of traffic Rules Violation cases in 2012, booked upto last week.

In 2012, 324 cases related to licences, were registered. On the expected recommendation of KSRDC, over 300 more blackberries will be distributed to city traffic policemen soon, Saleem said proudly.
