Madikeri: Hindu outfits took out a huge protest march in the town on May 29, Tuesday condemning the recent attack on Madikeri taluk co-convenor of Bhajrangdal Nandakumar (Ganesh). Shops and business establishments were found closed at several parts of the town as part of the protest.

The Hindu Jagarana Vedike and Bhajrangdal leaders shouted slogans against PFI and KFD and took out a protest march on the streets of the town and held a protest meeting at the Fort premises here.

Satyajit Suratkal, south zone convenor of Hindu Jagarana Vedike, and several other leaders participated in the meeting and demanded a thorough probe into the attack and arrest of the attackers at the earliest.

Security arrangements in the town had been stepped up in view of the protest.
