Bangalore : Close on the heels of dissidence rocking the Congress over the issue of MLC ticket with opposition leader Siddaramaiah quitting, even the JD(S) is facing the same problem.
On June 1, Friday, JD(S) has tendered his resignation to the post of JD(S) legislative party Secretary citing resentment over the failure of the party to give due recognition to suitable candidates.
Speaking to reporters in the capital on June 1, Friday, he said he would shortly be quitting the party. The JD(S) had over five contenders for the one MLC seat and Abdul Azeem one of the contenders has now quit following discontentment.
