Bangalore : There seems to be no end to controversies dogging actress Pooja Gandhi. On Friday, her friend-turned-foe Kiran T V lodged a complaint accusing her and her father of threatening to kill him.
Undeterred, the actress refuted the allegations and lodged a countercompalint against Kiran of mentally harassing her.
Pooja and her father Pavan Kumar Gandhi are said to have lodged a complaint with CK Achuchukattu police station around 6 pm alleging that Kiran was trying to defame her family’s reputation.
She denied there was a financial dispute with Kiran and charged him with creating troubles after she called off her engagement with Anand Gowda. She also sought police protection.
The police have registered cases against Kiran under Sections 506 (Criminal Intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.
Complaint content
Kiran, attached to Dayananda Sagar Dental College, had complained to Subramanyapura police that he had received threat calls from the actor and her father on December 19, the day she broke up with Gowda.
He said he had received threatening calls from two mobile phones and on December 12, had got a message that read “By mistake don’t tell anyone, will kill you.”
He told the police he was threatened with elimination through supari killers. Contending that the actress was backed by politicians and goons in the film industry, Kiran said his image was being tarnished and sought police protection for him and his family members.
Pooja’s version
Reacting sharply to the complaint, Pooja Gandhi said the court would take a suitable action against him, as three cases were pending against him and she had obtained injunction from the court. She also claimed she did not know a person named Kiran and that neither she nor her father sent any messages to him nor called him.
Interestingly, Kiran did not go in person to lodge the complaint. RLN Murthy, his advocate, couriered the complaint on his behalf. Murthy said his client had evidences to prove the allegations. He said he had also submitted the complaints to the cyber crime police and City Police Commissioner.
