Bantwal: Surrounded by high profile leaders of BJP and Congress, MLAs and ZP members, in Bantwal on Tuesday, Aug 24, CM Yeddyurappa inaugurating a new building of community health Centre at Vamadapadavu near here in the taluk, blamed the previous (Congress) governments in the state for the crippling power shortage, due to fast growth of cities like Bangalore and Mysore.
Promising a mini Vidhana Soudha for the taluk in 3 months, and hoping to complete it in 18 months thereafter, he laid foundation stones for many establishments under small and Medium Towns Development programme, for a 100 bed hospital, fire brigade, and (mescom) local maintenance division etc. He was buying 1000 MW from other states for next 3 years to keep up with the growth of several cities in the state.
CM assured of setting up a new police sub-division with Bantwal and Belthangady in its jurisdiction. He lauded the medical officer and his staff for their efforts to build a govt hospital in the taluk, which looked like a private nursing home and a model for other such health centres.
