Udupi : If the State Congress is still dilly dallying to announce its CM candidate, some party workers from Udupi have sprung a pleasant shock as well as surprise by praying for Siddaramaiah at the Parkala Mahalingeshwara Temple here on April 8, Sunday.
Reports said the party men not only prayed for the well being of Siddaramaiah, senior Congress leader and opposition leader, who is recuperating from as surgery, but also that he be made the CM in the event of the Congress coming to power.
Several party workers were present at the temple and offered prayers to the Lord and also coconuts.
A party worker who was present, said they want to see Siddaramaiah as the Chief Minister of the state. He also stated that Siddu was capable and can ensure the development of the coastal districts by initiating several welfare programmes.
