Mangalore : The scrutiny of nominations filed by candidates for assembly elections, in DK and Udupi districts was held on April 18, Thursday. A total of 12 nominations have been rejected in DK, while one nomination was rejected in Udupi.

The nominations of 86 candidates was found to be in order, while in Udupi the nominations of 97 candidates were in order.  Most of the candidates whose nominations were rejected on Thursday were independents.

As per information available, 11 nominations were found to be in order in Mangalore North, 15 in Mangalore South, 18 in Mangalore, 9 in Bantwal, 7 in Puttur, 10 in Sullia and 8 each in Belthangady and Moodbidri.
