Mangalore : Udupi district beat Dakshina Kannada to the second place by securing 92.72% of pass results in second PUC examination. DK district secured 91.76% and Uttara Kannada 82.97% securing 3rd place. Yaadgir ranked the last.

Kumara Nayak, principal secretary of education gave the details of PUC results at the press conference held at Bangalore on Monday.

Girls secured 66.51% beating boys who secured 52.70% of success rate. 3,63,057 students were successful out of 6,11,569 students appeared for the second PU exam  2013 in the Karnataka State. It is a slight improvement from last years result by 2.33%. Over all it is a best result in a decade
