Bantwal : Senior RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat has said that  though the Sangh Parivar worked hard for the victory of the BJP, it was defeated by the money power of the Congress.

Reacting to allegations that the Sangh Parivar had intervened in  the selection of BJP candidates for assembly elections, Bhat said the RSS had no role to play nor had it recommended the name of Rajesh naik for Bantwal.

Continuing, Bhat said “People dissatisfied with the style of functioning of the BJP as well as the confusion in the party voted the Congress to power. Bhat further pinpointed towards the media when he said adverse media reports too led to BJP debacle.

Bhat said RSS had never intervened in BJP affairs and made it clear that all candidates were selected   as per the  recommendation of  organizing committee president Santosh.

Bhat was also highly critical of Bantwal’s newly elected MLA Ramanatha Rai and added Rai had stated so merely to appease the minorities. It was nothing but a political strategy, Bhat said.
