Bantwal : A Bajrandal activist attacked by a gang at  Kalladka  on Monday June 11.

The injured youth  identified as Chetan, a resident of Melkar.  He rushed to government hospital with injuries to his hand and chest.

Chetan was in  Kalladka,  the gang of Kiran Melkar, Yogish, Mohan, Keerthan, Lokesh and Vidyadhar, who arrived there in a Maruti Ritz car, attacked Chetan with cricket bats and wickets.

It is said, Chetan was released from jail on bail recently

Dakshina Kannada district superintendent of police, Ravikanthe Gowda, stated that this attack was the extended part of a friction between two gangs which had happened near Melkar some days back.

As a precautionary measure, police vigil has been beefed up in Kalladka, Panemangaluru, Melkar, B C Road, the town and several other places. The police are now trying to arrest the culprits involved with this attack.
