Mangalore: A group of around 50 college students both boys and girls dressed in black, took out an angry procession starting from Bendor holding placards against Supreme Court verdict on Article 377 on sexual relations of the same sex, went round Balmatta, Bants Hostel, Hampankatta, KS Rao Road, Kodiyalbail and culminating PVS circle, shouting slogans all the way and demonstrating their banners against law and for freedom of youth, on Monday morning.
The irate student wanted scrapping of article 377 which was up held by Supreme Court recently, reversing the Delhi court verdict on matters covered by article 377 of IPC that deals with Homo-sexuality, Lesbian relations and Trans-gender persons who have changed their sex either ways etc., and there by retaining what was originally shown as an offense punishable under sec. 377 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The Supreme Court has ruled out malpractices in sexual relations between males or females or Tran’s gender persons (Shikhandi). The college students who demonstrated on streets of the port city had no business to do so while opposing a Supreme Court verdict, dislodging the Delhi court decision approving of bad sexual practices by members of any house hold, or community or the public at large.
The college students dressed in black did not take any legal advice from an expert lawyer before they went to the street to Demon Street against the Supreme Court final verdict on matters of sex relations among human beings in India.
