Mangalore : Superintendent of police at Bagalkot Abhishek Goyal, took charge as the superintendent of police of DK on Jan 7, Friday. 

SP Goyal taken charge from Labhu Ram, the former SP of Dakshina Kannada, who has been posted as superintendent of police from Davanagere.

SP Goyal, after taking charge went to Madikeri to participate in a high-level review meeting on inter-border crime.

SP Abhishek Goyal had also worked as the assistant superintendent of police in Puttur during 2008.
