MANGALORE : The Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad organized a huge protest rally in Mangalore on July 31, Wednesday criticising the Karnataka Examination Authority for failing to solve some of the problems that cropped up during the CET counseling process.
Hundreds of students took part in the protest rally taken out from Hampankatta to DC office, Students were seen shouting slogans against the government. A protest meeting was held in front of the DC office wherein State ABVP Secretary K Ramesh lashed out at the government for not being able to solve the problems. He also demanded that the problems be solved at the earliest and added it had affected thousands of engineering course aspirants.
He also came down heavily on the government for not doing the CET counseling of diploma holders who wish to pursue engineering through lateral entry. The government plans to ban students council election in colleges also came under criticism.
