Mangalore : AJ Hospital and research Cente has been accredited with NABH Accreditation. National Accreditation board and healthcare providers (NABH), is a fully autonomous Constituent Board of the Quality council of India (QCI), that has been set up to establish and operate accreditation programs for hospitals, health care organization and sets benchmarks including industry, consumers and government and is itself accredited by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua).
This was informed to reporters here on March 21, Thursday by Dr Prashanth Marla. He said the accreditation would benefit the patients the most as they will get best care, services and treatment by professionally trained and well qualified medical and para-medical staff.
The A J Hospital and research centre was set up in the year 2001, with the objective of providing world class healthcare facilities in Mangalore. Dr Ramesh Pai, Dean of A J Institute of Medical Sciences, said a student of the institute Dr Santhosh Narayanan, has individually bagged highest number of gold medals and secured 1st rank from first year to final year and this is the first time in history of the university to get first rank and bag highest individual gold medals.
Dr Santosh Narayanan will receive the “A J Institute President Gold Medal” from the Chairman of A J Hospital A J Shetty, while Dr Ramesh Pai will confer, “Highest scoring Student Award” to him on convocation day.
