Bengaluru : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah clarified that land belonging to his wife was acquired by MUDA, for which 50:50 plots were given elsewhere when the BJP was in power.
Speaking to the media today, he provided a detailed response on the allocation of MUDA plots.
“BJP gave us alternate plots when they were in power. Three acres and 16 guntas of land belonging to my wife is situated in Kesare village, next to the ring road. My wife got it from her brother through a gift deed. It is the BJP that passed a law that land should be given in the ratio of 50:50. Without acquiring the land, plots were developed and distributed. As per law, we are legally entitled to alternate plots. Upon allotment, we have to be legally accommodated. Accordingly, they have agreed to provide plots in the ratio of 50:50,” he said.
“When BJP was in power, we asked them to provide alternate plots according to the rules and orders of the government. Later, they allotted alternate plots in different places. What is wrong with this?” he asked.
