Bengaluru : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called upon Tahshildars to wipe the tears of the poor who come in faded clothes. There is no better work than wiping the tears of those who come to the Tahsildar’s office, he said.
He was speaking after releasing the 2024 calendar and annual calendar of the Karnataka Administrative Service Officers Association.
‘Your heart should go out for people who visit your office with worn-out chappals, clothes, and the uneducated. If you do a good job, the government will get a good name. Carry out this responsibility, serve the people without the middlemen near your office’ he said.
“We are there for the welfare of 7 crore people of the state. Politicians will remain only if they are renewed by the people after five years. But KAS officers are in continuous public service for 30 years. Hence you must attend to the problems of the people’, the CM said.
‘People have provided privileges to politicians and officials. We got privileges with people’s tax money. We have been privileged by the people so that we can provide smooth people-oriented administration. People’s progress should be our goal,’ he said.
Make sure that the strong do not oppress the weak. The CM called for effective delivery of government benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
He warned that if people come to the CM for small revenue problems, it should be considered that the officials are not responding to people’s problems.
