Belthangadi : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his appreciation that Bangera had the special quality of always speaking the truth in a direct and straight manner.
He was speaking at the Nudi Namana programme organised in memory of Former Chief Whip Vasant Bangera.
‘Vasant Bangera and I had entered the assembly together. He was my friend till his last breath. His passing away has brought me great grief, he said.
He said that Bangera, who made his personal and political life worthwhile through truth, concern for the poor, and uncompromising public works, will remain in the minds of the people forever.
Bangera followed vishwa manava values throughout his life. Bangera never came to me for personal work. Whenever he came, he demanded for people’s work. A five-time MLA, he never lobbied to become a minister. Thus he described that he was the most exemplary political leader.
‘Even though he was requested to contest the election in 2023, he did not agree. He explained that if he had contested this time, he would have definitely won and become a minister’, the CM said.
‘The State politics is extremely impoverished by Vasant Bangera’s death. We wished that his health would recover and he would stay with us for a long time. The CM expressed deep sorrow of losing dear friend’
Former Union Minister Janardhan Poojary, Speaker UT Khader and family members of Vasant Bangera and a large number of followers were present.
