Bantwal: Opening the new additional civil court complex today in Bantwal town, the High Court and DK dt. administrative judge, Justice Nagmohan Das H.N, gave a call to the Bar (advocates) and judiciary to expedite qualitative justice to clients in an efficient way. He quoted figures to back up his argument that lower courts still have 3 crores of legal cases to adjudge, while deciding 16 crores of cases already. The High Courts in states have decided 16 lakh cases, while Supreme Court every year decides upon 50,000 cases. Justice had to reach everyone who seeks it, Justice Das reiterated.
It is the active judiciary that has evolved a strong democracy in India today. Citizens trust the judiciary completely. The pending cases should be quickly decided by compromise and conciliation, he advised.
Our literacy may be 70% but knowledge of law is limited to 10% among them (citizens). The young lawyers need to create general law awareness among our people, he added.
DK in charge Minister Krishna Palemar, speaking on the occasion as Environ Minister, stated that would ask the concerned officials to plant trees in the compound of the building.
Law Minister S.Suresh Kumar informed the legal officers and staff of DK dt. that he would take necessary action to provide housing facilities to them all.
PWD Minister C.M Udasi told the gathering that a sum of Rs. 16 crores was spent on the complex in Bantwal.
