Mangalore: The three-day Panambur Beach fest concluded on January 27, Sunday. Thousands of people attended the three day event and actively participated in the various programmes and contests organised as part of the Fest.
Krishna Palemar, MLA, presided over the valedictory function and said the state government has several plans on anvil to boost tourism.
Deputy Commissioner N Prakash who also spoke, said there were plans to make the Beach Fest much more attractive in the coming years.
Yatish Baikampady, Chief Executive Officer of PBTDP, was felicitated on the occasion, for the efforts put in towards organizing the event. The Team Mangalore kite flyers were also honoured.
Mangalore Mayor Gulzar Banu, MCC Commissioner Harish Kumar, ZP CEO KN Vijayaprakash, Assistant Commissioner MN Venkatesh, and others were present .
The final day of the event saw boat race, swimming and skating competition. There was kite show as usual and kids enjoyed flying the kites. The food festival was thronged by foodies who enjoyed the day with the tantalizing delicacies.
