Mangalore: The Best SDMCs of government schools in the district, were felicitated at a function held under the aegis of the DK Zilla Panchayat and Department Public Instructions at DIET Auditorium in Mangalore on August 31, Saturday.

Presiding over the function, Dr KN Vijayaprakash, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer,  said the district has received highest funds under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan during the current year. He said government schools in the district have received donations from donors and funds from MLAs and MP’s Funds to the tune of Rs 5.50 crore.

He also informed that from the current year there would be a special software wherein details of donations given to various schools will be stored.

Anand, Assistant Director of the Department of Education of Mysore Division, and others were present.

Nearly 19SDMCs from felicitated  on the occasion for their outstanding activities.
