Mangalore: Bhagini Samaj is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee celebration at SDM Law College Auditorium on October 26, Friday at 3 pm, said Vajra N Rao, president of Bhagini Samaj.

She was speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on October 20, Saturday. She also said that Dr Sunitha Krishnan, co-founder of Prajwal, Hyderabad will preside over the event. Dr Prabha Adhikari, Prof of Medicine , KMC, Mangalore, M N Rajendra Kumar, President of SCDCC Bank Ltd, Mangalore and Dr Mohan Alva, chairman, Alva’s Education , Moodabidri.

She said that this 75th anniversary celebration provides a unique opportunity for Mangalorean to listen to well known leaders in different fields of social activities.

Speaking on the cultural programmes, she said that the children of Bhagini Samaj will perform a folk dance, while the students of Sanidhya Residential School, Shaktinagar, will present a skit and the disciples of Usha Praveen of Kadri Sangeetha Vidhyalaya will render the light music.

Secretary Vijayalakshmi Bhat Uluvana, treasurer Kavitha Shenoy and Ratna Alva were present at the press meet.
